As everyone knows, Karate was originated from Okinawa
Te, which was the martial arts of Okinawa. But it is not well known,
or somewhat concealed, that Okinawa was under the strong cultural influence
of Korea for long time, and the term "Kara" means something
Korean in Japanese tongue.
Let me tell you first the strong cultural
influence of Korea on Okinawa. If you search some academical materials
about this fact, it would not be difficult. Some universities of Okinawa
still contains many written historical materials of this kind. If you
want to experience it, it wouldn't be difficult still either. Okinawa's
folk wrestling, loom, or another folk things still demonstrates the
strong similarity between those of Okinawa and of Korean. And you should
understand that Okinawa resisted Japanese government, and instead, it
interchanged many cultural things with Korea.
If you focus on the term "Kara",
I must tell you it comes from the name of a part of old Korea: Kaya.
If you investigate the hidden history of Korea and Japan you can find
that people of Kaya(a southen part of old Korea) moved to Japan in a
big group and dominated the old Japanese people. Because of this historical
fact many part of Korean old cultrue influenced on Japanese.
And you must know that

Tousin Dance: Japanese local traditional
culture originated
as an imitation of old Korean Delegation. Here we can see that the
first of asian letters "Tousin"(??) is same with that
of old Karate(??), and it means Korea. Korea and Korean cultures
were referred to with the asian term "?" by Japanese in
most cases. |
