[re] Samjae - difficult question.
| I think it is difficult question to answer. |
Let me explain something with justifications.
For I don't suggest my opinion as confirmed perfectly.
Mind ledas Body: It is correct in some sense.
In TKD training, I emphasize the importance of mind.
For example, "attacking motion needs attacking mind."
Without proper mind, any motion, however it may look exact, cannot be a technique of TKD.
Experience leads Mind: this is correct in some sense too.
But I cannot see, in what sense it is correct exactly.
- Postive: For TKD, confidence is very important. Without it no technique is available. The confidence is a property of mind. But the true confidence doesn't come from only mind. It comes from experience; experience of training, usually. If you saw you can pass hard test and training, you cannot but feel confident that you can win others who failed in them.
- Negative: Despite some experience of failure, we can build our mind or spirit. Sometimes we try our best because we failed just now, and sometimes we give up because we failed just now too.
Experience comes through Body to Mind: I agree with you.
But I cannot recongnize the implications of this proposition.
I don't mean it is meaningless, but I just mean my experiece didn't consider this aspect of TKD.
Mind and Spirit is Will: Well, I'd like to say that will is the core part of Mind and spirti.
Western philosophers and psychologists have thought that the core of mind is thinking, or consciousness, but I don't agree with them.
>Please tell me if my understanding, below, is somewhat correct:
>Mind leads Body.
>Experience leads Mind.
>Experience comes through Body to Mind.
>Mind and Spirit is Will.
>Will exhibits through Body by Mind, producing Experience.
