When you train kicks you should try to make a swift and exact kick. You don't have to try a powerful kick. A kick of common man is powerful enough to neutralize usual big and strong opponent if he were kicked somewhat exactly. Most part of motion to make a powerful kick is no more than an effort to hide your problem that you cannot make a swift and exact kick. Power comes from speed and exact pose. You don't have to strain all the muscle of your arms and legs.
