The
Way of Mind
13.
Don't forget what you aimed at first. Devote yourself always to what
is basic. That will be help you to get more.
If the basic end of Taekwondo training were to subjugate opponent
and protect yourself, then you should do what is required for that.
And do whatever demanded for that.
Therefore it is not Taekwondo training if you make motions that you
cannot understand and feel proud. If you cannot understand techniques
you'd better just build up strong muscles, which you can understand.
Do push-ups and raise barbells and train sprints. Even in this way,
you should get the power to subjugate the opponent, not in your vain
imagination, but in reality. Prepare some small weapons for urgent situations.
Train how to use them. Be ready to run away if necessary.
This is the ture training of Taekwondo.
