The
Way of Mind
15.
With the control on your elbow
You get the hand technique, and
With the control on your knee
You can get the kick technique.
The shoulder is foundamental yet difficult to control
And the fist is easy to control yet trivial.
The hip is a root yet too far from its flower
And the foot is a fruit yet neager.
Seeing its flower and fruit
Leads to seeing its branches,
And then, to seeing its root,
Likewise,
Sseeing the motion of hand and foot
Leads to learning the control on the elbow and knee
And then, to seacrhing the movement of its centroid.
Although the movement of hip is the root of technique,
Stop your desire and take the golden mean.
In this manner
You can obtain much in a not-too-far one, and
You can get the clear in a not-too-close one.
This is a good gain.[The Mastery of Technique] |
