Taekwondo Poems 2

writtend by David M. Twigg

STILLNESS

I gaze on the stillness of the water, gaze on the perfect reflection of the world.

A dragonfly moves from the cover of a reed bed, the clarity is gone disturbed by its wings.

My mind is lost as I follow its path.
I close my eyes and the reflection returns.

The candle lights the room sending shadows dancing in its glow.
At the edge of the darkness I look steadily into its depth.

On a bright summers day, I see a cloudless sky endlessly clear.
On a dark moonless night I embrace the brilliance of the blackness.

Here I consider the flame, the essence of its nature, its silent harmony.
In this space between I am everywhere.
