Another General Problem of Dollyeo Chagi

     

 

Another general problem of Dollyeo chagi is found in this movie. It is that kicker's body(particularly, his hip) moves back to the direction of kicking. I mean, the kicker's body moves to the right while he kicks to the left from the observer's view.

In this case, he cannot make his full power. He come to separate his a part of power on his kick and on the movement of his hip.

This cause of this is that he uses some strength on his spreading kicking foot when he finishes kicks. This strengh of the end of the kick pushes his hip back. Then, his kick exhausts him and inefficient.

The Dollyeo Chagi should be make as if you use a whip. The foot should be thrown by the movement of your trund, and that should be all. Then the kick will be natural. You can make it in the many-times repetition beyond your exhaustion.

Remember, " It would be boring to practice a basic motion a hundred times. But it would be rather interesting to repeat it a thousand times, and if you continue it up to ten thousand times you will obtain the naturality, and with further more practices you can get the entire Taekwondo."(PPT, Ch.55)
