A Use of Juchum Seogi in Self-defence


 

Then, how to drop? Or how to lower your body? The following movies will tell you the trivial secret.


     

It is, when you lower your pose to Juchum Seogi, you should drop with its literal meaning. It is following the nature; the gravity first, (Refer to Ch. 7-4-3 of 3JKY.) Then you come to hang your whole body to the attacker's arm, and he will fight the gravity, not you. It is the way of Tang; Have your opponent opposed to the world harmonizing yourself in it.(Ch.11 of PPT)

Then you should continue Kang technique.(Ch.7-3 of 3JKY) Also here, you can understand why the exact pose is important in the technique. See the following.


     

The low pose of Juchum Seogi provides you with good condition to throw him forth; it means, your hip should be lower than his.

The left photo also shows how you should drop you body to make an exact Juchum Seogi, beginning this technique. It is good to compare the left photo with the first one where the attacker begins hugging.
