Comparing Shotokan Karate and Taekwondo, Kyokusin Karate seems to be on the middle of both ends; Taekwondo and Shotokan Karate. In its creation Kyokusin Karate was much influenced by Korean martial tradition, and the present president(or Grand master) of the Kyokusin Kai Kan is also Korean. He is just in Japan and speaks Japan.
