Chapter 15. Distinction Beginning in Life "What is the wisdom?" "The wisdom of Taekwondo is to see what is invisible that exists"
The truth of Taekwondo is beyond distinction, thus it even includes distinction, which have been stated already in the previous chapter. All the distinctions result from man's life and nature in which man lives. All the right knowledge can be divided into two categories : the distinctive and the nondistinctive knowledges. So are those of Taekwondo. The nondistinctive features of knowledge of Taekwondo originate from the fact that nature and man's life as themselves have nondistinctive feature of each. This is due to that, although man distinguishes motions and implications of Taekwondo, Taekwondo itself is a harmonized whole in contact with principles of the nature. On the other hand, the distinctive aspects in knowledge of Taekwondo result not from the feature of man's life itself, but only from its inside. The origine of the distinctions is the life and death. This life and death is the foundation that produces and forms the distinctive aspects of Taekwondo which is different from what is not Taekwondo. These understandings show us that the origins of Taekwondo and man's life are same. Thus it is said, "Taekwondo originates from the boundary of man's life and death, and the boundary can be found anywhere in a man's life and death. Therefore, Taekwondo comes from the whole of man's life at the same time."
