2. Samjae

2-7. Samjae in body

We can try to divide each part of human body along Samjae and yin/yang or Kang-Yu. Then Samjae come to be the centers of human body as it is distinguished basis. Accordingly "We can discern the centers according to Samjae(Haneul, Tang and Saram). The head, which controls every motion with your will, is the center of Haneul. The abdomen, which creates the your vigor as the earth is the mother of everything, is the center of Tang. And the breast, which expresses vitality between Sky and Earth, is the center of Saram."(Ch.26)1) It means, each of the head, the chest, and the low abdomen becomes each element of Samjae. And arms and legs express changes of yin/yang.

Why do you need this distinction? Because you can recognize how each part of yours can seek its own proper position only when you know the structure of Samjae and yin/yang in your body. That is, you can keep everything of yours in its proper place along the way of Haneul only with this knowledge on Samjae in your body.

<footnotes>

1) In Ch.26 of PPT I explain centers of the opponent, so the centers as target points of attack. Since, however, I'm same as him in manhood the centers are same to us, and also are those as target point of attack identical to those as attacking subjects.
